MCCC SEEKING NURSING PROGRAM GRADS FROM 1975 – CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF FIRST CLASS

Monroe County Community College’s award-winning Nursing Program is celebrating the 50th Anniversary of its first graduating class this year. The first graduating class launched one of the most successful and recognized nursing programs in the state of Michigan and the United States. The college is looking for the 28 graduates of this inaugural Nursing Program Class of 1975 to celebrate and recognize them during this year’s RN Pinning Ceremony on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 6 p.m. in the Meyer Theatre and other activities in the coming weeks. Last week at the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations National Conference in New Orleans, Monroe County Community College's Office of Marketing and Communications won two national Paragon Awards for outstanding achievement in community college marketing communications. ANTIQUES SHOW SET FOR APRIL 26-27

It’s antiquing time again at Monroe County Community College. The Antiques in April Show and Sale, an annual tradition beginning in the early 2000s, returned last year to MCCC for the first time since 2019 and it is back again this year. It will be held Saturday, April 26 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Gerald Welch Health Education Building. Read Press Release

The Monroe County Community College Inside Out Dance Ensemble will present “Memory Bank” on Saturday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. with a repeat performance Sunday, April 13, at 3 p.m. in the La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater, located on MCCC’s Main Campus at 1555 S. ONE WEEK TO A CHALLENGING CAREER WITH MCCC'S FIBER OPTIC TRAINING BOOTCAMP

Monroe County Community College is offering a Fiber Optic Training Bootcamp to prepare participants for a career in fiber optics. The classes will be held Monday, March 31 - Friday, April 4, 2025 from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the MCCC Whitman Center, 7777 Lewis Ave., in Temperance, MI. STUDENTS CAN STILL APPLY FOR $350,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS FROM MCCC FOR 2025-26 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has extended the deadline for current and future students to apply for over $350,000 of scholarship funding available for the 2025-26 academic year to March 31, 2025. After a little more than three years of operation and growth in the number of students and their families who access Heck's Market Food Pantry, Monroe County Community College along with the leadership of The Board of Directors of The Foundation at MCCC and generosity of its donors have relocated the market to a larger, more accessible area of the campus in Founders Hall.
