MONROE, Mich. – At its regular meeting last night, two new members officially joined the Monroe County Community College Board of Trustees, and officers were elected.
Linda M. Roberts and Kristy Svatek-Whitson were sworn in as trustees by Chair Aaron N. Mason. They were elected in the November general election and both will serve 6-year terms.
Mason was re-elected by the Board as chair. Lynette M. Dowler was elected vice chair, succeeding Krista K. Lambrix, who completed her 6-year term as a trustee in December. Nicole Goodman was re-elected as secretary. All three will serve 2-year terms.
Mason has been a trustee since 2015 and has served as chair since 2023. He succeeded Dowler, who served as chair from 2017-2022. Goodman has served as secretary since 2023.
Other members of the 7-member Board of Trustees include Julie Edwards and Mary Kay Thayer.
