Fans of 1980s rap music soon will be fighting for their right to party when the top-touring Beastie Boys tribute group -- Imposters in Effect -- takes the stage at Monroe County Community College's La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater.
The concert will take place on Saturday, March 1 at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $27, and there will be a cash bar. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.monroeccc.edu/imposters. They will also be available at the door.
The La-Z-Boy Center is located on MCCC;s Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.
Imposters in Effect will bring the infectious energy and iconic hits of the famous rap trio from Brooklyn to Monroe in an electrifying live performance. It will be a night of nostalgia and hip-hop vibes as the trio pays homage to one of the most influential groups in music history.
The group will mix the good time party anthems and antics of the Beastie Boys with songs like “Fight For Your Right (to Party),” “No Sleep Till Brooklyn,” "Brass Monkey," “Sabotage,” “Get It Together,” “Intergalactic,” “Ch-Check It Out,” “So What Cha Want” and “Pass The Mic."
