MCCC SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR ALUMNUS, COLLEGE SUPPORTER OF YEAR AWARDS

MONROE, Mich. –  Monroe County Community College is seeking nominations for the 2025 MCCC Alumnus of the Year Award and the 2025 College Supporter of the Year Award. 

The Alumnus of the Year Award was established by the MCCC Board of Trustees in 1996 to recognize and honor an outstanding alumnus who has made contributions to a career field, the community and the college. 

Individuals eligible to receive the award include past and/or present students who have earned 24 credit hours or more or past and/or present students who have graduated from MCCC.

Nominations for this award may be submitted by past and/or present students who have earned 24 credit hours or more or past and/or present students who have graduated from MCCC, past or present MCCC faculty and staff, and the MCCC Board of Trustees.  Nominations can be made at www.monroeccc.edu/alumni/alumnus-of-the-year. Nominations are due for this award by March 7, 2025. 

The College Supporter of the Year Award may be presented annually by the Board of Trustees. Criteria considered includes: general support for the college and its programs, volunteer work which supports the college, substantial financial and/or equipment contributions to the college, substantial scholarship donations, and/or extensive participation on college advisory, standing, or ad hoc committees. Board members or College staff may submit nominations for this award. Nominations can be made on the college’s website at https://www.monroeccc.edu/college-supporter-of-the-year-award

Nominations for this award must be submitted by Monday, April 11, 2025.
