The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William J. and Hildreth C. Braunlich Memorial Scholarship to Lia Frost. The $3,300 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Frost, of Newport, is a 2024 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School. She will be studying early childhood education at MCCC. While at SMCC, she assists with acclimating new students to campus conducting tours and being a student ambassador for programs at SMCC. Lia is the daughter of Stephanie and William Conroy.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must have graduated from SMCC, have shown academic achievement, participated in student activities or community service and demonstrate financial need.
