The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Susan L. Lingar “A.G.” Memorial Scholarship to Chloe Wynn. The $1,450 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Wynn, of Petersburg, is a 2019 graduate of Summerfield High School. She is currently in the business program at MCCC with intent to transfer to Eastern Michigan to complete her bachelor’s degree. Chloe is the daughter of Andrew Wynn and Anne Binder.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be pursuing a degree in the accounting field, must be a graduate of a Monroe County, MI, high school or completed a GED, be a Monroe County resident, and a U.S. citizen. Additionally, students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, and must maintain part-time enrollment status of at least six credit hours or more.
Applications for scholarships awarded by The Foundation for the 2024 – 25 academic year are now being accepted. The online scholarship application is available at www.monroeccc.edu/scholarships. Returning and prospective students are encouraged to apply now for over 200 available scholarships for the upcoming academic year. Students have until March 1, 2024, to complete their scholarship application; however, it is recommended that students apply as soon as possible. Not all scholarships are need-based or require a high grade point average or full-time status. Many are program specific and are available in all traditional and technical career training programs.
