THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE KIRWEN AND KARAU SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Kirwen and Karau Scholarship to Grace Dougherty. The $1,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Dougherty, of Temperance is a 2024 graduate of Bedford High School. She is focusing on the study of biology while attending MCCC, with plans to transfer to the University of Toledo. While attending BHS, Grace was a member of the marching band. She is involved with Children’s Theatre Workshop and their Creative and Brave Company and is also an active student leader of her 4-H club. Grace is the daughter of Victoria and Ryan Dougherty.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be planning to transfer to a college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree, be a graduate of a high school in Monroe County, Michigan, must show high academic achievement and must maintain full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours.
