THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE JOHN & VIOLET MUELLER SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the John and Violet Mueller Scholarship to Elizabeth Dyson and Zoe Messer. Each $1,900 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Dyson, of Monroe, is a 2021 Jefferson High School graduate. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC and is a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Elizabeth is the daughter of Gerald and Kristin Dyson.

Messer, of Newport, is a 2019 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC and is the vice president of the Student Nurses Association. She is an active volunteer at Community Lutheran Church in Flat Rock. Zoe is the daughter of Arthur and Chari Messer.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate of Jefferson High School and a resident of Monroe County, Mich. In addition, students must maintain at least part-time enrollment ofsix credit hours or more, and must have and maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher during their scholarship year.
