The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Hallie H. Billmire Scholarship to Raelynn Runyon. The $1,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other education expenses.
Runyon, of Monroe, is a 2023 graduate of Monroe High School. She is taking classes working towards her associate degree at MCCC and then continuing her education pursuing a career in dental hygiene. Raelynn volunteers in the community for the Monroe Area Soccer Association in the concession stand, Monroe County Opportunity Program and GodWorks! soup kitchen. Raelynn is the daughter of Renee Runyon and Christopher Chatfield.
