The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Guire Scholarship to Jaden Aitken. The $2,700 scholarship is to be used for tuition.
Aitken, of Monroe, is a 2019 graduate of Bedford High School. She will be studying pre-natural science while attending MCCC. Jaden volunteers at a domestic violence awareness charity, in the community picking up litter and providing food for the Humane Society. She is the spouse to Trenten Frey
The Guire scholarship was established by the Iva Mennig Trust to assist with tuition payment for students majoring in math or science who have financial need and have shown academic excellence.
