THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE EDWARD AND HENRIETTA KNABUSCH TRUST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Edward and Henrietta Knabusch Trust Memorial Scholarship to Payton Binder. The $2,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, academic supplies and books.

Binder, of Ottawa Lake, is a 2023 graduate of Bedford High School. He is studying nursing while attending MCCC. While attending BHS, he was a member of Student Council, helped students in the math lab, helped tutor elementary students and was a football manager. Payton is the son of Katheryn and Jim Binder.

To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be have at least a 2.5 grade point average, demonstrate involvement in community service and must maintain at least part-time enrollment at MCCC. Preference is given to a Monroe County, Michigan resident.
