The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the David L. and Harriet Williams McIntyre Memorial Scholarship to Jessica Gallegos-Gallegos. The $3,350 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Gallegos-Gallegos, of Monroe, is a 2023 graduate of Monroe High School. She is pursuing an associate degree in psychology at MCCC where she is a student ambassador, secretary of the Multicultural Student Association and a student notetaker. She is the daughter of Marina Gallegos-Gallegos and Mauro Gallegos-Gallegos.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe High School graduate, enrolled in a transfer curriculum and maintain a full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours. To continue to receive this scholarship, the recipient must demonstrate continuing academic achievement of at least a 2.5 grade point average.
