The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the AAUW Wyandotte Downriver Foundation Scholarship to Destiny Cox. The $1,250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Cox, of Flat Rock, is a 2013 graduate of Monroe High School. She is pursuing a degree in nursing while attending MCCC. Destiny is involved in MCCC’s Student Nurses Association and also volunteers with Oaks of Righteousness. She is the daughter of Vincent Cox and Katherine Cox.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a permanent resident of a Downriver, Michigan community, must have earned a minimum of 12 college credits and be enrolled as a full-time student.
