Registration is now open for Monroe County Community College’s non-credit Lifelong Learning classes and programs this Fall. In addition to several new class offerings, this year marks the return of classes being offered at the Whitman Center in Temperance, MI. Some of the new classes added this year include Souffle & Brulee, Taste of the South and Bacon, Bacon, Bacon in the Culinary area; Pilates Small Group Reformer and Circuit Training in the Health and Fitness area; Adulting 101 in Personal Enrichment offerings; and Lithium Batteries and Mindful Morning Art at the Whitman Center.
Several classes are being offered at both the Main Campus and the Whitman Center, including numerous Personal Enrichment offerings Puppy Training and AKC Canine Good Citizen, Photography 1 for Digital and Film Cameras, Lunchtime Yoga, Everyone Communicates, Becoming a Person of Influence and Leadership Gold, along with the aforementioned Mindful Morning Art. In addition, several specialized Career and Workforce Training courses, including Hazwoper Refresher, Confined Space, Lock-Out-Tag-Out, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety and the new Lithium Batteries class noted above.
Along with the above new classes and those being offered at the Whitman Center, dozens of other classes ranging from crafts, computers and a variety of computer programs and software applications, photography, dance, fitness, and business and professional development, are offered in both online and in-person formats.
Several of MCCC's Career and Workforce training programs may also quality for payment plan and the Michigan Achievement Skills Scholarship, including Dental Assisting, Pharmacy Technician Certification, Clinical Medical Assistant, Sterile Processing and Personal Fitness Trainer Certification courses.
