THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE WILLIAM E. RUPP SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William E. Rupp Scholarship to Katelyn Armstrong and Cadance Sharpe.  Each $2,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

Armstrong phtotoArmstrong, of Petersburg, is a 2022 graduate of Bedford Senior High School. She is studying business management at MCCC with plans to transfer to the University of Toledo to complete a bachelor’s degree. While at BHS, she participated in Students in Action, Student Prevention Leadership Team, Drug Abuse Resistance Education, National Honor Society and vice president of Business Professional of America. Katelyn is the daughter of Kevin and Aundrea Armstrong.

 

  

Sharpe photoSharpe, of Monroe, is a 2022 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is studying biology at MCCC and will taking general education courses at MCCC. While at JHS, she was a member of National Honor Society, volunteered with community drives for food pantries, nursing homes and the Monroe County Humane Society. She has also won many awards for her artwork. She is the daughter of Brad and Dannielle Sharpe.

 

  

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident, a U.S. Citizen and maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more. In addition, the student must have a grade point average of 3.4 or above.
