THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE MIDWAY PRODUCTS – LYMAN E. HOYT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded The Midway Products – Lyman E. Hoyt Memorial Scholarship to Dylan Hurley. The $1,900 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

hurley photo Hurley, of Dundee, is a 2022 graduate of Dundee High School.  He is studying computer science while attending MCCC, with the intention of transferring to the University of Toledo to earn a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He has volunteered with animal rescue efforts and supports the American Red Cross. Dylan is the son of Nicole Hurley and Robert Hurley.
  

  

 To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in one of the following programs at MCCC: automotive engineering technology, mechanical design technology, welding technology, mechanical engineering technology or manufacturing technology. In addition, the student must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more, must have and maintain a 2.5 grade point average or higher during their scholarship year and must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a Monroe County resident or a child of a Midway Products, Inc. employee.
