THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE KIRWEN AND KARAU SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Kirwen and Karau Scholarship to Ella Farmer. The $1,700 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Farmer photoFarmer, of Petersburg, is a 2022 graduate of Ida High School. She is pursuing an associate of science degree at MCCC, with plans to further her education at a four-year university to become a medical examiner. She is a member of the Criminal Justice Club at MCCC and a member of the Ida Key Club community service organization. Ella is the daughter of Melissa Farmer and Stephen Farmer.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be planning to transfer to a college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree, be a graduate of a high school in Monroe County, Michigan, must show high academic achievement and must maintain full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours.
