THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE JOYCE HOAGLAND EBY SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Joyce Hoagland Eby Scholarship to Lauren Pier. The $2,350 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.

 Pier photoPier, of Carleton, is a 2016 graduate of Airport High School. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC. Lauren is an active volunteer in the community, including as a member of 4H, Habitat for Humanity, Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter in Flat Rock, and church. She already has earned her Certified Nurse Assistant and Licensed Practical Nurse credentials and as the oldest of seven children, is setting a positive example for her younger siblings. Lauren is the daughter of Todd Pier and Ginger Pier.

 

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must show financial need and must maintain nine credit hours or more per semester and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher.
