THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE JOHN & VIOLET MUELLER SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the John and Violet Mueller Scholarship to Zoe Messer and Erika Troyer.  Each $1,850 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Messer photoMesser, of Newport, is a 2019 graduate of Jefferson High School. She will be studying nursing while attending MCCC. She is an active volunteer with Helping Hands clothing and food back at Community Lutheran Church. Zoe is the daughter of  Chari and Art Messer

 

  

Troyer, of Carleton, is a 2012 Jefferson High School graduate. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association. Erika is the mother of Madison Troyer and Wyatt James, the spouse of Codie James and the daughter of Christopher Troyer and Barbara Troyer.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a graduate of Jefferson High School and a resident of Monroe County, Mich. In addition, student must maintain at least part-time enrollment of six credit hours or more, and must have and maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher during their scholarship year.
