The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Jeremy Bruce Memorial Scholarship to Victoria Boxell. The $1,000 scholarship is for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Boxell, of Temperance, is a 2023 graduate of Whiteford High School. She is taking general education courses at MCCC with the plan to transfer to the University of Toledo. While attending WHS, in her role as president, she created and administered the Whiteford Tabletop Gaming Club. Victoria is the daughter of Celeste Meyer.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must an honorably discharged veteran, spouse or child of an active-duty serviceman or veteran and submit a copy of their DD-214 and have and maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average. Highest preference is given to a student that demonstrates record of service to social causes and giving back to the community. Financial need is considered for this scholarship.
