The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Jacqueline McGhee Scholarship to Articia Bomer and Katelyn Palmer. Each $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, supplies and books.
Bomer, of Monroe, is a 1990 graduate of Frank Cody High School, Detroit, MI. She is in the Criminal Justice Law Enforcement program at MCCC. She is the daughter of Leandrews and Joyce.
Palmer, of Temperance, is a 2021 homeschooled graduate. She is pursuing an associate of pre-biology/biology transfer program at MCCC and is a member of the Intramural Sports Club. She is the daughter of Michael and April Palmer.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled part-time, be a resident of the state of Michigan and have a 3.0 grade point average. Highest preference shall be given to students with a demonstrated financial need.
