The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Hallie H. Billmire Scholarship to Elizabeth Dyson. The $1,750 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other education expenses.
Dyson, of Monroe, is a 2021 graduate of Jefferson High School. She is studying nursing at MCCC with plans to continue her education and eventually work in healthcare as a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Elizabeth was active in 4H, played softball at Jefferson High School and Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI, and coached for Jefferson Middle School. Elizabeth is the daughter of Kristin Dyson and Gerald Dyson.
