THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE DR. GERALD L. HOWE SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Dr. Gerald L. Howe Scholarship to Olivia Doom. The $1,150 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Doom PhotoDoom, of Erie, is a 2022 graduate of Mason Senior High School. She is studying nursing while attending MCCC. While in high school, she played volleyball and softball, serving as captain on both teams; was secretary of Student Council and president of the National Honor Society; coached and served as line judge for volleyball and coached baseball for younger students and was a volunteer with Camp Storer. Olivia is the daughter of Richard and Angela Doom.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in a health-related curriculum and must maintain full-time enrollment status. Additionally, a student must demonstrate community/school involvement and submit a letter of interest outlining their educational and career goals.
