The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Circolo Italiano Scholarship to Lindsay Cicero. The $650 scholarship is to be used for books.
Cicero, of Monroe, is a 2019 graduate of Monroe High School. She is studying nursing while at MCCC. In addition to working as a nurse aide in the Emergency Room at Flower Hospital, Toledo, OH, she is involved in the Student Nurses Association at MCCC and mentors students enrolled in phlebotomy classes. Lindsay’s parents are her mother, Denise Cicero, and her stepfather, Michael Palmer .
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must present financial need, reside in Monroe County and have a working knowledge of the Italian language or culture. Preference will be given to a student planning to pursue studies, training, or research relating to the Italian culture.
