The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the AAUW Wyandotte Downriver Foundation Scholarship to Stacy George and Ryan Hays. Each $1,250 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
George, of Southgate, is a 2013 graduate of Queen Creek High School in Queen Creek, Arizona. She is pursuing a degree in nursing while attending MCCC. She is the wife of Austen Farano and the daughter of Heather George and Henry George.
Hays, of Woodhaven, is a 2022 Carlson High School graduate. He is pursuing an associate of science degree from MCCC. He is the son of Allen Hays and Melissa Hays.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a permanent resident of a Downriver, Michigan community, students must have earned a minimum of 12 college credits and be enrolled as a full-time student.
