The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the President Emeritus Dr. Ronald Campbell and Blondelle Campbell Scholarship to Jaden Smith. The $1,500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Smith, of Ottawa Lake, is a 2021 graduate of Whiteford High School. He is studying graphic design – digital media while attending MCCC. As a student at WHS, Jaden was involved in the school’s robotics team, which he continues to mentor after graduation. He is the son of Janelle Smith and Jamie Smith.
To be eligible the student must be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan, demonstrate academic excellence, and maintain at least a part-time enrollment at MCCC. Preference will be given to a student who is an active member of the MCCC Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and demonstrates financial need.
