THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS FEDCO SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the FEDCO Science and Technology Scholarship to Elayn Juhasz and Bradford Zapor. Each $2,450 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.

Juhasz, of Monroe, received her high school diploma from El Cajon Valley High School at the age of 16 in 1988 after passing the California High School Proficiency Exam, an early exit testing program established under California state law. She is studying mechanical design technology at MCCC.  Elayn is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, active in the drama club at MCCC and performs in a charitable dancing group. She is the wife of Mark Juhasz and mother to Sophia and Anthony.

zapor photoZapor, of Monroe, is a 2000 graduate of Jefferson High School. He is studying mechanical design technology at MCCC.  Bradford is the son of Mary Zapor.


   

 

 To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Mechanical Design Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Technology at MCCC, must have a 2.5 grade point average or higher and be a Monroe County, Michigan resident. Preference will be given to a Jefferson High School graduate that demonstrates financial need.
