THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS ELIZABETH AND SAMUEL CAMPBELL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Elizabeth and Samuel Campbell Memorial Scholarships to Jillian Fell, Kylie Heebsh, Yasir Memon, and Caleb Ramsey. Each $1,575 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Fell photoFell, of Newport, is a 2021 graduate of Airport High School. She is working toward an associate of science degree at MCCC. While attending AHS, Jillian was secretary of her class and Health Occupations Students of America, president of the Spanish Club, vice president of the National Technical Honor Society, treasurer of the Interact Club, a member of Varsity Choir, Distributive Education Clubs of America, MY Lead, Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, National Honor Society and graduated Magna Cum Laude. While studying at Eastern Michigan University, she was a member of the Student Nurses’ Association, a Mentor Collective Ambassador and on the Dean’s List. She is the daughter of Richard and Jennifer Fell.

Heebsh, of Temperance, is a 2023 graduate of Bedford High School. Kylie is studying early childhood development while at MCCC. She is a volunteer with March of Dimes. Kylie is the daughter of Jennifer Heebsh and Ken Heebsh.

Memon, of Monroe, is a 2016 graduate of Maumee Valley High School. Yasir is working toward an associate of applied science degree at MCCC. He has a leadership role in Universal Health Aid Monroe Chapter, regularly volunteers at local soup kitchens, for canned food drives, making care packages for the homeless and active in Boy Scouts.

Ramsey photoRamsey, of Ida, is a 2023 graduate of Ida High School. Caleb is working toward an associate of applied science at MCCC. He has volunteered with the annual craft show for Christmas in Ida. Caleb is the son of Denise Ramsey and Marcus Ramsey.

 

 

To be eligible for this scholarship the student must demonstrate academic excellence and have financial need.
