Monroe County Community College has awarded the Bonnie Finzel Doster Altrusa International of Monroe Scholarship to Jacob Hugo. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Hugo, of Temperance, is a 2019 graduate of Bedford High School. He is studying nursing at MCCC. Jacob was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, played football at BHS and volunteers with the Toledo Humane Society. Jacob is the son of Amanda and John.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must present financial need, good academic standing, past or present community service and reside in Monroe County. Additionally, the applicant must be seeking education in order to return to the workforce.
