The Toledo-based Skittle Bots, a band that has built a huge following in and around the Glass City and adheres to one simple rule – playing only songs released between 1990-99 – will play Monroe County Community College's La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater on Saturday, January 6 at 7 p.m.
Tickets are just $5, and there will be a cash bar. All tickets are all general admission and are available for purchase online at showclix.com/event/skittle-bots. Tickets will also be available at the door.
The La-Z-Boy Center is located on MCCC;s Main Campus at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.
The Skittle Bots have carefully curated a collection of the best music from the 1990s, and the band’s fanbase continues to grow with every flashback-filled performance.
Today, the Skittle Bots are still elevating their award-winning show – forever working towards the ultimate 90s time warp. Featuring their signature mashups spanning the gamut of decade-defining hits, a night out with the Skittle Bots promises a perfect mixtape of music, memories and mania.
The Skittle Bots' awards and accolades include runner-up for the Toledo City Paper's "Best Cover Band" in 2020 and winner of that award in 2019, winner of Hollywood Casino Toledo's Battle of the Bands in 2017 and winner of Bar 145 Toledo's Battle of the Bands in 2015.
The Skittle Bots' performance at MCCC is part of MCCC's 2023-24 Entertainment and Events Series, which is sponsored by La-Z-Boy, First Merchants Bank, Consumers Energy, DTE Foundation and The Foundation at MCCC. Each academic year, MCCC hosts its Entertainment and Events Series, which consists of a broad range of comedic, musical and theatrical performances, visiting artists and other community events sure to quench the entertainment and cultural thirsts of the region.
