2U, a U2 tribute band billed nationally as "a Beatlemania-like live show" and "the world's second-best U2 show" will perform at Monroe County Community College on March 12.
The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s La-Z-Boy Center, Meyer Theater, which is located at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd. in Monroe.
With a lead vocalist who is a dead ringer for Bono, remaining band-members who resemble their respective counterparts in the real U2, and lighting, sound and costuming that mirror an actual U2 show, 2U has a full worldwide booking calendar and is the world’s only officially U2-endorsed tribute band.
2U has performed extended runs with the world famous tribute show "Legends in Concert" at the Imperial Palace on the Las Vegas strip, as well as an unprecedented 8-year run at Disney’s Epcot “Sounds like Summer” Tribute Concert Series. The band entertains U.S. military troops at bases around the world and performs at functions for Fortune 500 Companies.
The band's performances include cuts from “Boy,” “October,” “The Joshua Tree,” “Rattle and Hum,” “Achtung Baby” and “Zooropa,” as well as some of the more recent U2 albums.
There is limited seating, and all tickets are general admission. Tickets are $25.
