Registration for the Winter 2023 Semester is currently underway. Classes start Friday, January 6, 2023. Now is the best time to register for classes for the upcoming semester to ensure the best selection. MCCC will once again be offering courses in three different modalities: face-to-face with students attending classes on campus; blended with some online/virtual component where students may be required to meet at some or all scheduled class times, face-to-face or remotely; or online with no on-campus requirements. Current MCCC students can still continue to register for their classes as normal via the college’s online student registration system, WebPal, to be ready for classes in January.
“There are a few important steps that new students, especially, need to complete to be fully registered for their classes," said Tracy Perry, Director of Admissions for MCCC. "For new students it all starts with completing the online Application for Admission, which really only takes a few minutes, by selecting the Apply button at the top of the homepage at www.monroeccc.edu."
After completing the Application for Admission the MCCC admissions staff will guide students through the rest of requirements through the registration process through email, phone and appointment scheduling during regular hours for the Admissions, Financial Aid and Registration Office, Mondays from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Tuesdays - Fridays from 8 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Another opportunity to streamline the process for students are Walk-In Wednesdays beginning November 9. "Those students who have completed their application can simply walk in to the Admissions, Financial Aid and Registration Office without an appointment and submit their transcripts, take any necessary placement tests, meet with a counselor or academic advisor to discuss course placement and their academic plans, and get registered for their Winter 2023 classes," added Perry.
The Admissions, Financial Aid and Registration Office is located in the in the Warrick Student Center (S Building) on the east side of the Main Campus, 1555 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe. It is recommended that students park in Lot 4 for easiest access to the Admissions Office.
“We know students are often busy with jobs and taking care of their families and so on, so we want to be sure we are making it convenient for students,” said Perry. “With walk-in registration hours we are removing the step of calling ahead to make appointments for some parts of the process that can’t always be scheduled at the same time.”
