The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William J. and Jennie E. Bacarella Scholarship to Melissa Grup. The $1,200 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Grup, of Temperance, is a 1996 graduate of Washington Massillon High School, Massillon, OH. She is pursuing a degree in business and accounting at MCCC. She is currently on the committee for an upcoming golf outing for multiple sclerosis research, volunteers for Bedford High School’s wrestling team golf outing and the Bedford Junior High robotics team. Melissa is the husband of Jason Grup and the mother to Jared, Drew, Gianna and Josie Grup.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be majoring in a business-related curriculum, maintain part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more, and be a resident of Monroe County, Michigan. In addition, the donor prefers non-traditional students and graduates of St. Mary Catholic Central High School.
