The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the William E. Rupp Scholarship to Mia Freiheit and Connor Kemp. Each $2,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Freiheit, of Lambertville, is a 2020 graduate of Bedford Senior High School. She is studying criminal justice at MCCC. While at BHS, she participated in Strive for a Safer Drive. Mia is the daughter of Michelle and David Freiheit Jr.
Kemp, of Carleton, is a 2022 graduate of Airport High School. He is undecided on his career path and will taking general education courses at MCCC. While at AHS, he was a member of marching band, concert band, and jazz band. He is a current member of Divine Parish Church in Carleton, a former Boy Scout and member of the Monroe Hockey Association. He is the son of Jeffery and Dawn Kemp.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident, a U.S. Citizen and maintain a full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more. In addition, the student must have a grade point average of 3.4 or above.
