The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Susan L. Lingar “A.G.” Memorial Scholarship to Morgan Mitz. The $1,400 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Mitz, of Temperance, is a 2012 graduate of Bedford High School. She will be studying accounting while attending MCCC. Morgan is the daughter of Raye and Susan Mitz.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be pursuing a degree in the accounting field, must be a graduate of a Monroe County, MI, high school or completed a GED, be a Monroe County resident, and a U.S. citizen. Additionally, students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, and must maintain part-time enrollment status of at least six credit hours or more.
