The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Ruthie Merritt Memorial Scholarship to Lee Piazza. The $1,350 scholarship is to be used for tuition.
Piazza, of Monroe, is a 2006 graduate of Flat Rock High School. She is pursuing a degree in computer science. Lee is the mother to Jace.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in the computer information systems or accounting program at MCCC, a resident of Monroe County, Mich., completed a minimum of 10 credit hours with a 2.5 grade point average and take a minimum of four credit hours.
