The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded The Midway Products – Lyman E. Hoyt Memorial Scholarship to Tristan Stevens. The $1,850 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Stevens, of Monroe, is a 2021 graduate of Jefferson High School. He is studying welding while attending MCCC. Tristan is the son of Greg and Wendy Stevens.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in one of the following programs at MCCC: automotive engineering technology, mechanical design technology, welding technology, mechanical engineering technology or manufacturing technology. In addition, the student must maintain full-time enrollment status of 12 credit hours or more, must have and maintain a 2.5 grade point average or higher during their scholarship year and must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to a Monroe County resident or a child of a Midway Products, Inc. employee.
