The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded The Mariya Heinzerling Memorial Scholarship, formally the Student Nurses Association Scholarship, to Julie Southworth. The $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Southworth, of Monroe, is a 2019 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School. She is studying nursing at MCCC and is a member of the Student Nurses Association. Julie is the daughter of Lee and Donna Southworth.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student be enrolled in the registered nursing program or licensed practical nursing certificate program at Monroe County Community College, be a member of the MCCC Student Nurses Association and have a 3.4 grade point average or higher.
