The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Lakewood Machine Products Co. Howard J. Morrin Memorial Welding Scholarship to Evan Wielfaert. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Wielfaert, of Britton, is a 2021 graduate of Britton Deerfield High School. He is currently enrolled in the welding program at MCCC. White at BDHS, he was a member of the National Honor Society and book club and participated in 4-H during the summer. Evan is the son of Allen and Linda Wielfaert.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be enrolled in a credit or non-credit certificate or degree welding program at MCCC.
