Ava Manard PhotoThe Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Kirwen and Karau Scholarship to Ava Manard. The $1,650 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees and books.

Manard, of Lambertville, is a 2021 graduate of Bedford High School. She is pursuing a degree in early childhood education while at MCCC. While at BHS, she was a member of All Mules Matter. Ava is the daughter of Jason and Bridget Manard.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be planning to transfer to a college or university to pursue a bachelor’s degree, be a graduate of a high school in Monroe County, Michigan, must show high academic achievement and must maintain full-time enrollment status of at least 12 credit hours.
