The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Hallie H. Billmire Scholarship to Ava Kuehnlein. The $1,700 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies and other education expenses.
Kuehnlein, of Monroe, is a 2022 graduate of St. Mary Catholic Central High School. Ava is studying nursing at MCCC. While at SMCC, she was a member of Student Council. Greek Squad, Student Prevention Leadership Team, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, president of Pep Club and IMATTER Club. Ava was also captain of junior varsity and varsity volleyball, and varsity captain of the basketball and soccer team. Ava is the daughter of Eric and Marie Kuehnlein.
