The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the FIERF Forging Foundation Scholarship to Blake Lambert and David Pienta. Each $500 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Lambert, of Monroe, is a 2020 graduate of Monroe High School. He is pursuing an associate of applied science degree in manufacturing technology at MCCC. He was a member of University of Toledo’s Rocket marching band and Heritage Baptist Church band. Blake is the son of Phillip and Deanna Lambert.
Pienta, of Monroe, is a 2021 homeschooled graduate. He is studying welding technology at MCCC and is a member Phi Theta Kappa. Pienta is a member of the American Bladesmith Society-Apprentice Smith. David is the son of Diana and Daniel Pienta.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be pursuing an associate of applied science degree from any engineering or manufacturing related program in the Applied Science and Engineering Technology Division and must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
