THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE EDWARD AND HENRIETTA KNABUSCH TRUST MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Edward and Henrietta Knabusch Trust Memorial Scholarship to Trinity Adams, Jacob Hugo, Courtney McKee, Lauren Pier and Marie Underwood. Each $2,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, academic supplies and books.

Adams, of Ida, is a 2019 graduate of Orchard Center. He is studying construction management technology at MCCC. He is active at his church, Ida United Methodist Church. Trinity is the son of Heidi Adams.

Hugo photoHugo, of Temperance, is a 2019 graduate of Bedford High School. He is studying nursing at MCCC. While in high school, Hugo helped clean an old historic log cabin and currently rescues small animals, nurturing them back to good health. Jacob is the son of Amanda and John Hugo and brother to Nicholas and Sydney.

 

 

 

McKee PhotoMcKee, of Ida, is a 2018 graduate of Ida High School. She is studying early childhood education and psychology at MCCC. Courtney is the daughter of Sue McKee and Charles McKee.

 

 

Pier PhotoPier, of Carleton, is a 2016 graduate of Airport High School. She is studying nursing at MCCC. Lauren is the daughter of Todd and Ginger and sister to Todd, Brendan, Alie, Erika, Madisyn and Arynn.

 

 

 

Underwood PhotoUnderwood of Dundee, is a 2018 graduate of Dundee High School. She is currently in the Michigan Transfer Agreement program at MCCC and then will be transferring to Central Michigan University to major in photojournalism and minor in multimedia design. She is a member of the Agora and Phi Theta Kappa. Marie is the daughter of Bill and Melita Underwood.

 

 

To be eligible for this scholarship a student must be have at least a 2.5 GPA, demonstrate involvement in community service and must maintain at least part-time enrollment at MCCC. Preference is given to a Monroe County, Michigan, resident.
