The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Education Plus Credit Union Scholarship to Brooklyn Maitland. The $1,150 scholarship is to be used for tuition, fees, books and supplies.
Maitland, of South Rockwood, 2021 Jefferson High School graduate. She is studying education at MCCC. She is a volunteer firefighter for Berlin Township Fire Department and volunteers as a Jr. Bears Basketball coach and Jefferson Adult Boosters. Brooklyn is the daughter of Walt and Ann Maitland.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the recipient must be a member of the Directions Credit Union, must maintain part-time enrollment status, defined as six credit hours or more, and may be either a first- or second-year student.
