The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Deborah L. Beagle Memorial Accounting Scholarship to Jennifer Smith. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Smith, of Monroe, is a 1994 graduate of Monroe High School. She is studying accounting while attending MCCC. Jennifer is the daughter of Jerry and Ginger Mason and John and Cindy Riley.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a non-traditional student pursuing a degree in accounting, be at least a three-quarter-time student at MCCC and have a 2.5 grade point average or higher.
