THE FOUNDATION AT MCCC AWARDS THE CIRCOLO ITALIANO SCHOLARSHIP

The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Circolo Italiano Scholarship to Lily Close. The $900 scholarship is to be used for books.
Close, of Temperance, is a 2017 graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Toledo, OH. She is perusing an associate of science degree at MCCC. Lily is the daughter of Christina and Marcus Nagley.

The Circolo Italiano Scholarship has been awarded by The Foundation at MCCC 12 times since it was established in 2010 by members of the Circolo Italiano Club, an outgrowth of Italian language courses offered at MCCC. The scholarship was created to promote and foster the study of Italian language and culture.

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must present financial need, reside in Monroe County and have a working knowledge of the Italian language or culture. Preference will be given to a student planning to pursue studies, training, or research relating to the Italian culture.
