The Foundation at Monroe County Community College has awarded the Richard and Marjorie Sieb Scholarship to Paige Smith. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Smith, of Carleton, is a 2014 graduate of Airport Senior High School. She is working on her associate degree in science at MCCC and then will further her education at a four-year university to receive her master’s degree in environmental science and sustainability. She is a member of the Agora Chorale and have been accepted as a tutor with the Writing Fellows. She is the daughter of Andrew and Kimberly Smith.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must be a Monroe County resident, a U.S. citizen and maintain at least part-time enrollment status of six credit hours or more. In addition, the donor prefers to assist a student returning to school after a period of other activities and demonstrates financial need.
