Monroe County Community College President Dr. Kojo A. Quartey will present the State of the College Address to the Community on Oct. 27 from 8 a.m. -9 a.m.
The address will take place in the Vajcner Academic Commons of Founders Hall on the college's Main Campus.
The event is open to the public. The Main Campus is located at 1555 S. Raisinville Rd., Monroe.
Among the items covered during the address will be:
- Campus facility upgrades
- Recently awarded major grants: 1) Detroit Drives Degrees Community College Collaborative and 2) Department of Education Title III
- Health care facilities and programming
- Student success initiatives, such as First-year Experience, student success navigators learning communities and educational advocates
- Electric vehicle programming
- K-12 partnerships
- Legislation
- Removing barriers for students
