Monroe County Community College has awarded the Bonnie Finzel Doster Altrusa International of Monroe Scholarship to Timothy Champagne. The $1,000 scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees.
Champagne, of Carleton, is a 2009 graduate of John Glenn High School, Westland, MI. He is studying cybersecurity at MCCC. He was a board member of Lighthouse Ministries in Wayne, MI. Timothy is the son of Dennis and Michele Champagne.
To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must present financial need, good academic standing, past or present community service and reside in Monroe County. Additionally, the applicant must be seeking education in order to return to the workforce.
