DEADLINE TO APPLY FOR $400,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS IS ONE WEEK AWAY! MCCC 2022-23 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION DEADLINE IS APRIL 1, 2022

Current and prospective Monroe County Community College students only have one week left to complete their application for consideration for over $400,000 in scholarships available for the 2022-23 academic year. The deadline is April 1, 2022. The application, available at www.monroeccc.edu/scholarships, only takes about 20 minutes to complete and automatically, based on criteria, such as area of study or interest, qualifies students for consideration for potentially dozens of appropriate scholarships.

More than 200 scholarships ranging from $500 to scholarships that cover all tuition and fees for two years of full-time study at MCCC are available in every area of study and program the college offers. Not all scholarships are need-based or require a high-grade point averages or full-time status.

“Donors who contribute to The Foundation at Monroe County Community College make it possible for us to fund such a wide variety of scholarships in all of the college’s over 60 areas of study, including students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges after completing their studies at MCCC,” said Dr. Joshua W. Myers, executive director of The Foundation.

In addition to scholarships, the Financial Aid Office at MCCC is available to assist students with identifying other potential sources of financial assistance to fund their higher education pursuits. Other opportunities include federal and state grants, scholarships from other organizations, work study and loans. To be considered for these types of aid, students are encouraged to complete the FAFSA (at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa). Students can call 734-384-4135 for more information.
